i noticed that the HW or GAS linetypes did not appear as options in some new drawings, but was available in an existing drawing. could i have innadvertently imported a linetype when i imported in a cad block from ACAD?

Im fairly certain that is what happened. i was having trouble X Refing the floorplan, so i imported as a block. I massage the drawings in ACAD before i bring them in. I think i inadvertently brought in some of the ACAD linetypes this way.

this is i think the linetype file that ACAD references. They have an ISO version as well.

Linetypes are imported with blocks. I am not sure about xrefs.

ok, same question regarding "Style" or "linetype" with the leader tool. where do i create different styles for that?

The leader tool inherits from the Dimension Styles: Drawing>Format>Dimension Styles

Multi-Line Type did not persist in the drawing through the project reopen. It remained in the line type, but it reverted back to standard multi-line type on the drawing itself.
