I'm looking for a way to view a 3U - 12 Slot frame with "Cards".
Could you please advise how I can do this?

Have tried the following:
1. Made a Frame 3U and have assigned the Front Panel File 2U - 10 Slot (Have amde a copy of this to a 3U and then 12Slot)
2. Have made Cards to fit into the frame (but have not assigned any frontpanel files to this (How should I define the card as a slotin that should og into the frame?)
3. Have assigned the frame a sysname and a location - Eg Rack01-20
4. Have defined some Cards with sysname and a location Eg. Rack01-20-1 (Elevation 20-1)

The frame is located in the correct position of the frame, but the card is not in the 20U location (It's in the bottom of the rack instead.)

Are there any guidelines on how to do this correct?

All of the references in WireCAD are loosely held by location. There is no other parent/child relationship between a frame and its cards.

It looks to me like you have done almost everything correctly.
The Location delimiter and the ElevationSlot delimiter cannot be the same character.
Example:
Campus.Building.Room.Rack.Elevation-Slot will work
Campus-Building-Room-Rack-Elevation-Slot won't work

Another Example (here the Location delimiter is a dot (.) and the ElevationSlot delimiter is a dash (-):
Campus: LA
Building: The Factory
Room: RM101
Rack: RK-01
Elevation: 20
Slot: 5
LA.The Factory.RM101.RK-01.20-5

I am marking this resolved. If I have not properly answered all your questions simple reply to reopen the ticket.
