I have changed my racks for other types and heights. The name of the rack is changed in the rack layout but the frontpanel is the same as before.

Also a question about rack layouts: When I have a rack in a drawing, I like to update this rack layout when i have made some changes (For example: added or deleted some equipment). Is there a function to update a rack layout with rebuilding the whole drawing?

I already released this drawing so I’m afraid that there will be changes to the drawing that are not purpose.

I am having trouble recreating this. My steps:
1. Insert rack into rackbuilder drawing.
2. Assign a SysName. It picks the location and updates the rack insert.
3. And here is where I am not sure we are doing the same thing. I replace the rack with a new unit of a different height by deleting and replacing and reassigning.

I am not sure where the ripple is coming in.

So i have rack layouts but the rack heights change. I lookup the racks in my equipment list. I replace the racks with another rack with an different height and then ripple. The info of the rack is changes on the drawing but the rack is kept the old height (the block is not changed).

I want to keep the sysname because this is used in the drawings of the interior builder.

Gotcha. I might recommend this approach.
In the Equipment List. Rename the affected racks. Save and ripple.
Then rerun the rack builder tool. It is the only way that the rack will be replaced by the newly referenced front panel.
