It would be nice if the equipment assign dialog could tell if I double-clicked a jack vs. a normal equipment block and then maintain separate information for the "remember this equipment on next assignment".

For example, let's say I am drawing the outputs of a large switcher that all go through patch. I realize I can assign large blocks sequentially, but what I really want it to do is remember the last "equipment" when I click on the switcher and then remember the last "jackfield" when I click on the jack. It would improve efficiency when not doing things sequentially.

I am not sure I understand. When double-clicking a switcher you would get the next number in the switcher sequence. When double-clicking a terminal you would get the last remembered (or not) sysname to which a terminal was assigned.

I am not getting it.

I blame the drugs I wish I was taking... It does work like I want it. The only minor thing might be to filter the pick-list to only show jackfields. Maybe just a checkbox - "only show jackfields" in the dialog.

Hmmm. I am not sure how this would work.

I am going to mark this As Designed. If you disagree just reopen the ticket.
