I have a router page full of router bubbles attached to jacks. The jacks have feathers on the unassigned side. In the past, I used clip copy and paste to duplicate these elements on other drawings within the project. Now, when I use the same technique, I click on any part of the copied element, and the entire group is selected. So I cannot just delete the feather, drag the pre-drawn element up to the awaiting terminal and attach/assign it.
Is this a setting on my end?

I believe that the pasted objects are in a block (hence the single-click selects all). Try the explode command to unblock them back into individual entities.
