Sorry Chris, another silly thing is happening. In the project I'm working on, any blocks that I insert into an existing drawing or a new drawing, allocating a sysname and putting in cables, doesn't have the cables showing up in the equipment database when you expand an entry .

I've tried deleting, re-creating, deleting etc. - just going round in circles here ...

If I am not mistaken you are looking in the Equipment List (SysNames table).
You have assigned a cable to a device with a SysName and then refreshed the Equipment List and do not see an entry for the cable when expanding the [+] button on the associated SysName. Correct?

Is the Project Setting for Maintain Relational Data turned on?

Yes you are correct I am looking at the Equipment List. I will check that the Maintain Relational Data setting is switched on tomorrow.

If you want to force the indexes to build you can use the Reindex Equipment function of the Equipment List and the Reindex Cables function of the Cables grid.
If you are looking for attached cables use both. Index the equipment first then the cables. Be sure to refresh the grids to see the changes.

Thanks, that fixed it. Don't know how the Maintain Relational Data selection got unticked.
