Q: Do I have to renew my Assurance for the software to work?

A: No. WireCAD XLT, PRO, and CMS ore licensed as perpetual keys. The software will continue to run as long as the OS supports it.

Q: What do you mean by "Priority Technical Support"?

A: We here at the WireCAD Ranch work hard to support our users. Those users that have Assurance move to the head of the line. Whether it be a support ticket, email or phone call. Support is prioritized by Assurance status. Note that direct connect support (where we hook up with your machine and see what is wrong) is only available to Assurance members.

Q: What happens when you release a new version?

A: You must have current Assurance in order to install and activate the new version. 

Q: What do you mean by price lock?

A: When you purchase a WireCAD seat we include the first year of Assurance with the purchase price. Subsequent years Assurance can be purchased at a rate that is indexed to the list price. Therefore the Assurance price will increase as the list price increases. However, if you stay current with your Assurance year-to-year we will not increase the price. Your price will remain locked to the price at the time of purchase.

Q: What happens to the price of Assurance if I choose not to renew?

A: You will lose your price lock but not the eligibility to renew in the future. If, at any point in the future, you decide it is time to renew - either to receive an update or support - you will renew at whatever the current Assurance price is for your product level (XLT, PRO, CMS).

Q: How come I can't license the version I installed?

A: Your Assurance has expired. You will need to download and install any of the versions that were released during your active Assurance period. Attempting to license a version that is outside that window will fail.

Q: I purchased WireCAD several versions ago. Can I renew my Assurance now and get the latest version?

A: Yes. Our policy is "Once a WireCAD user, always as WireCAD user". You can renew today and get the current version regardless of when you purchased. Note however, the your original price lock is no longer in effect and you will renew at today's rate.

Q: Do I have to have current Assurance to receive phone support?

A: Yes. If your Assurance is not current please email support or submit a support ticket.

Q: How do I check my Assurance status?

A: Please visit your Serial Keys page where you will see the status of the Assurance that is tied to each of your keys.
